The Center for Safeguarding and Human Formation (CSHF) at De Nobili College, was blessed by Fr Jerome Stanislaus D’Souza, the President of the Jesuit Conference of South Asia (POSA, JCSA,) on 24th January. It was blessed after he celebrated the morning Mass at 6.50 am with the philosophy students.
The purpose of the center is offer services on human formation, listening/counselling skills to groups, and working towards the safeguarding of minors and vulnerable adults. It will offer personalized counselling facilities and specialized retreats. Resource, research and renewal are its foci. Professionals from among clergy and religious will work as a team for its various programs. Every province and diocese would be encouraged to send persons for training and awareness building at different stages of their formation.
A highlight of the Center are the paintings that adorn the corridor walls. They are the original works of Fr. Vijay Gonsalves SJ (BOM) based on the four weeks of the Spiritual.
