Jesuit Conference of India/South Asia – Conference Development Office organized an online event for the inauguration of the web page launch of South Asia Ignatian Year on 8 August 2021 which was live streamed at JCSA YouTube Channel where around 500 people had participated which includes all the South Asia Province coordinators, Jesuit Collaborators, partners and friends.
Fr. Francis Pudhicherry, SJ, Ignatian Year Co-ordinator gave the welcome note and anchored the entire event.
Dr. Jerome Stanislaus D’Souza, SJ, President, Jesuit Conference of South Asia inaugurated the Ignatian Year web page and shared his message saying “opening a new door means opening up for new opportunities. Web page is an apostolate not only of the ear but also of the eye. It’s a communication through words & images, videos & audios. It’ one of the best ways to engage with others especially the youth”.
Dr. Siji Chacko, SJ, Director, Development, Comms & MAIN explained the website features and the layout of Ignatian Year newsletter.
The program ended with a hope that the Ignatian Year web page would help people interiorize the life and inspiration of St. Ignatius.
