A two-day Training Program for Youth Leaders of Dumka–Raiganj Province was successfully held
at English Medium Sahibganj, Jharkhand, from February 20–22, 2026. Centered on the inspiring
theme “Greater Leaders, Better Society, “the program aimed at empowering young leaders with
knowledge, leadership skills, and spiritual grounding to serve society more effectively. The training
brought together 31 enthusiastic youth participants who actively engaged in sessions designed to
strengthen leadership capacity and social responsibility. The initiative focused on nurturing
responsible leadership rooted in values, justice, and community service.

The resource persons for the program included Dr. Sanjay Sebastian Marandi, Fr. Vernard Antony
SJ, and Mr. Peter Hembrom. They addressed key topics such as the Pillars of Magis Youth and the
global dynamics of the Jesuit youth movement, empowering leadership through Constitutional laws
and Tribal rights, and understanding local and practical challenges faced by emerging leaders. Over
the two days, participants were spiritually enriched through daily meditation, Eucharistic
celebrations, and the Examen, fostering personal reflection and growth. Interactive methods such as
group discussions, presentations, issue- and theme-based short skits, and exposure sessions
encouraged creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking among the youth.
