The Office of Communications at the Jesuit Curia in Rome organized the Annual Meeting of Jesuit Conference Communication Delegates from 19–22 May 2026 at the Jesuit Curia in Rome. The annual gathering brought together communication delegates from Jesuit Conferences around the world to reflect on the mission of communication, strengthen collaboration, and discuss future initiatives within the Society of Jesus.
Among the participants was Vernard Antony Raj, the JCSA Communications Coordinator, who took part in the various sessions, discussions, and planning activities. During the meeting, delegates presented reports on the state of their conference websites, social media presence, communication outreach, calendars of events for 2026–27, and ongoing projects and developments within their respective conferences.

The sessions focused on faith sharing, conference updates, capacity building with the worldwide Church, workshopping the Annuario, preparations for MAGIS 2027 in Korea, and future collaborative projects. Group discussions explored ways in which each conference could contribute to MAGIS 2027 and offered new ideas for enriching the Annuario.
A significant highlight of the meeting was the interaction with Arturo Sosa, who addressed the delegates on the importance of communication as a ministry of hope. He encouraged communicators to communicate with courage, give voice to the marginalized, promote collaboration and networking, and remain attentive to the movements of the Spirit. Fr. General also reflected on the challenges of today’s global digital culture, the accompaniment of young adults, the role of younger Jesuits, and the significance of MAGIS 2027 in Korea.
On 21 May 2026, the delegates attended an international conference at the Pontifical Urbaniana University on the theme “Preserving Human Voices and Faces.” The conference reflected on the message of Pope Leo regarding the responsible and wise use of technology and artificial intelligence in promoting human dignity and knowledge.
The meeting concluded with personal prayer, group sharing, and reflection on the various inputs received during the gathering. Delegates returned to their conferences inspired by a renewed spirit of collaboration, networking, and commitment to the mission of Jesuit communication worldwide.
