The Jesuit Conference of South Asia (JCSA) officially launched jescoms.asia, a common digital platform for Jesuit Communication in South Asia, on 31 July 2026, the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, at the Indian Social Institute, New Delhi. The website was inaugurated by Fr. Stanislaus D’Souza, SJ, President of JCSA, during the Feast Day celebration attended by bishops, religious, collaborators, and Jesuits.
Welcoming the gathering, Fr. Vernard Antony, SJ, JCSA Communications Coordinator, shared the vision and journey of the website. He explained that the initiative, inspired by the Society of Jesus’ process of Reimagining and Restructuring, was first envisioned during the JESCOM Annual Meeting held in Kolkata in 2024 and was subsequently taken forward during the JESCOM Annual Meeting held in Kozhikode in September 2025. The platform was developed through extensive collaboration involving online planning meetings, consultations, and zonal training programmes with JESCOM coordinators across South Asia.
Fr. Vernard thanked everyone who contributed to the project, with special appreciation for Mr. Antony Glenn Gomez for designing, developing, and training the team on the website, Fr. Joe Victor, SJ, for his constant encouragement and guidance, the JESCOM Website Executive Members for their dedicated planning, and the JESCOM Coordinators from all the Provinces for their wholehearted collaboration and content contributions.
Launching the website, Fr. Stanislaus D’Souza described the initiative as a significant milestone in strengthening communication, collaboration, and digital evangelization across the Jesuit Provinces of South Asia.
The jescoms.asia platform will serve as a common space to showcase the ministries, news, media productions, publications, and communication initiatives of the Jesuit Provinces, reflecting the Conference’s commitment to collaboration, evangelization, education, social justice, and the mission of the Society of Jesus in the digital age.
