JESCOM Central Zone Meeting at Madresa, Ranchi
JESCOM Central Zone meeting was held at Manresa House, Ranchi on 25 November 2024 with the theme “Media and Communication Apostolate: Way Forward.” The meeting was inaugurated with a warm welcome extended by Fr. Justin to Fr. Vernard Antony, JCSA Communications Coordinator, and all other esteemed participants. The attendees included Fr. Carter James (DUM), Fr. Herman Joseph Minj (MAP), Fr. Amit Toppo (HAZ), and Communication Commission members from the Ranchi Province: Fr. Ravi Bhushan Xess, Fr. Ranjit Horo, Fr. Alex Tirkey, Fr. Bipin Lugun, and Fr. Bipin Tirkey.
The meeting opened with a prayer led by Fr. Alex Tirkey, setting a reflective tone for the day’s proceedings. Three primary sessions were conducted, focusing on the central theme of restructuring the JESCOM Apostolate for greater collaboration, visibility, and efficiency.
Fr. Vernard Antony initiated the first session by sharing a comprehensive perspective on Re-imagining and Re-structuring (RR) the JESCOM framework at the conference level. He stressed the importance of creating a Communication Policy at the province level and implementing action plans with defined budgets. In the second session, each participant presented their province-specific initiatives and individual contributions to the JESCOM Apostolate. This session reflected diverse approaches and inspired collective learning.
The plenary session chaired by Fr. Ravi, facilitated an open discussion on the way forward for the JESCOM Apostolate at the central zone level.
The meeting concluded on a high note, with participants expressing their commitment to revitalizing the JESCOM Apostolate. Fr. Justin thanked Fr. Vernard and all attendees for their active participation and inspiring contributions. A sense of optimism prevailed as the group envisioned a more collaborative and impactful future for the Central Zone JESCOM. Fr. Bipin Tirkey delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts and the Provincial’s assurance of support. As the meeting drew to a close, the participants left with renewed zeal to implement the action plans and contribute to the greater glory of God through the ministry of media and communication.
