International Council Meeting 2025 at Rome
International Council Meeting 2025 was held on 21-25 January 2025 at the Jesuit General Curia in Rome. We were 8 participants: International Director, Fr. Cristobal Fones SJ, six Continental Coordinators from 6 Jesuit Conferences and Mr. Juan Ignacio of Argentina, who is the Communication in-charge. The main topic was formation in PWPN and Pedagogy of EYM along with the initiative to produce the General Regulations based on the new Statutes approved by the Holy See last year. The highlight of the meeting was the Papal Audience on January 23rd morning where we were given the English translation of the Pope’s speech to us and individual meeting with him. Same day we had a pilgrimage to the Gesu and Eucharistic celebration by the International Director in the room of St. Ignatius. Each one of us had enough time to present our homework through PPT. The meeting had begun with an hour of personal prayer and concluded also with an hour of Review and prayer. I celebrated the concluding Eucharist. Though the weather was cold the warmth of the General Curia people and familial atmosphere that pervaded our meeting made it a memorable event.
