South Zone – Workshop on The Indian Constitution and Media Tools for a Change
Chennai Province Youth Commission successfully conducted a four-day workshop on “The Indian Constitution & Media as a Tool for Change” from February 17-20 at AICUF House, Chennai. This innovative program combined constitutional education with practical media production skills. 25 youth leaders from four southern Jesuit Provinces participated and this was a collaborative workshop with Viscom department of Loyola College, Chennai.
Constitutional Knowledge Sessions: The Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy and Learning how these principles guide government policy formulation, with insights from law students. Media Production Training: Video editing using Final Cut Pro, Camera handling techniques, Report writing and documentation skills. The workshop successfully equipped participants with both theoretical understanding of constitutional principles and practical media skills needed to drive meaningful social change in their communities.
