Dumka-Raiganj Province JYMSA, the 6th Annual Youth Convention 2025 was held at Majilispur, West Bengal on 15-18 May 2025, under the vibrant theme “Ignite Hope, Inspire Change.” Organized by the Dumka – Raiganj Province Desk for Youth Ministry, the event brought together 300 enthusiastic youth participants, accompanied by 7 youth animators, 14 zonal coordinators and Jesuit Fathers, and 2 Sisters. The convention was officially inaugurated with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration led by Rt. Rev. Bishop Fuljence Aloysius Tigga of the Raiganj Diocese. The program featured insightful sessions by resource persons Fr. Anupchand Minj SJ, Fr. Danish Murmu SDB, Mr. Laus Hansda, and Mr. John Marandi, who addressed pressing topics such as the Socio-political awareness of Adivasis, the PESA Act and delisting issues, the call to ignite hope and inspire change, and the preservation of tribal identity and culture. Participants engaged in meaningful activities including skit presentations on biblical, social and ecological themes, group discussions and presentations, and colourful cultural dance performances, making the convention a rich platform for reflection, learning, and celebration of identity.
