Youth Leadership Skills Training for JCSA Central and North Zones’ Youth Leaders

Leadership is not just about authority but about responsibility, service, and transformation. To cultivate these essential qualities in young minds, the All-India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) under the Patna Jesuits Youth Commission (JYMSA) conducted  Youth Leadership Skills Training on 06-09 March 2025 for Central Zone and North Zone youth leaders at Atmadarshan, Patna. This intensive training aimed at empowering youth with leadership skills, ethical decision- making capabilities, social responsibility, and a deep sense of faith and service. Through interactive sessions, case studies, spiritual reflections, and motivational discussions, participants explored various aspects of leadership, teamwork, and self-improvement.

With the guidance of Fr. Anthony Prakash, this program successfully engaged youth in self-exploration, capacity-building, and vision development, equipping them with the tools to lead with integrity and compassion in today’s world.  Fr. Jose Thayil, Socius, Patna Province, delivered an inspirational keynote address, emphasizing the importance of youth leadership, resilience, and faith-driven service. He motivated participants to embrace courage, moral values, and proactive leadership to create a positive impact in society.

Fr. Vernard Antony, JCSA Youth Coordinator, delivered an insightful session, sharing his valuable life experiences and offering motivation to the youth. Drawing from his journey, he emphasized resilience, self-discipline, and the importance of strong values. His words encouraged the audience to embrace challenges, pursue their goals with determination, and contribute positively to society. The session left a lasting impact, inspiring the attendees to strive for personal and professional growth. Fr Louis Prakash guided the youth with his inspiring talk on `Youth in the Emerging Global Context.’

Sch. Reuell Paul, the resource person for this training, led the youth on `Leadership Vision & Strategic Thinking.’ He emphasised on the Leadership which is all about action and responsibility. He invited the youth to act on `importance of influence, motivation, and results in making an impact.’ He motivated the youth to be a leader of serving selflessly and inspire others to follow. On the final day, Reuell emphasized personal transformation through guided meditation, reflections, and outdoor activities. Sessions highlighted moral responsibility, compassion, and sustainability.

Leadership Skills Training  was a transformative experience, equipping young minds with ethical leadership principles, decision-making skills, and moral responsibility. With heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Anthony Prakash, this program stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment for youth leaders who will shape the future with faith, service, and justice. The program successfully equipped participants with essential leadership skills, promoting faith, service, and justice as guiding principles.
