Delhi MAGIS 2025 was a vibrant, transformative three-day youth confluence rooted in Ignatian spirituality. It was organized by the Delhi Province JYMSA at Navjivan Renewal Centre (NRC), Delhi on 13-15 May 2025. The event brought together 45 young participants from various backgrounds to engage in faith-based reflection, cultural celebration, and communal mission under the guiding theme: “To journey inward and outward in faith, community, and mission.”

The confluence began on 13 May at 2:00 PM, as participants arrived at Navjivan Renewal Centre, Delhi. They were warmly welcomed with registration kits and refreshments, setting a tone of hospitality and openness. The event was inaugurated with a solemn Eucharistic celebration, drawing all into a sacred space of spiritual receptivity. Evening sessions focused on group dynamics, fostering fellowship and trust among the participants.

The second day commenced with the Emmaus Walk, a symbolic pilgrimage to St. Mary’s Church, Old Delhi, where participants celebrated the Eucharist. This walk was not only a physical journey but also a spiritual one—reflecting the call to recognize Christ in our companions and surroundings.

The morning at NRC featured:

  • Magis Boom – a lively and reflective group activity that combined energy with introspection.
  • A thought-provoking session on “Tech and Human Well-being,” highlighting the interplay between faith and digital engagement.
  • A Prayer Service to remember and honor the departed, encouraging participants to reflect on life, loss, and hope.

In the afternoon, participants embarked on an Ignatian Immersion into the communities of Mainu Ka Tila and Tahirpur. These encounters with marginalized communities offered deep insights into lived realities, fostering empathy, awareness, and solidarity. The day concluded with a vibrant Cultural Night, where participants celebrated their diverse identities through song, dance, and creative expression, reinforcing the beauty of unity in diversity.

The final day centered on integrating experiences and discerning future pathways. The morning began with reflective prayer and group sharing, allowing participants to process and articulate their journeys. Key sessions included: A dialogue on Synodality, encouraging youth engagement in the evolving Church.

The event concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony and a Closing Eucharist, marking the spiritual milestones achieved and commissioning participants to carry the spirit of MAGIS forward in their daily lives. A shared meal served as a fitting end—symbolizing the deep community bonds formed during the confluence. Delhi MAGIS 2025 was a spiritually enriching and community-building experience. Through prayer, learning, service, and celebration, the youth were empowered to embody the Ignatian ideal of Magis—striving for “more” in love, faith, and service. Participants departed renewed and ready to journey onward, both inwardly and outwardly, in mission and purpose.
