Arjen Tete SJ is the new Secretary for Formation, known as Conference Delegate for Formation (CDF), South Asia.
Arjen Tete SJ, belonging to Calcutta Province, has been teaching Systematic Theology since 2015 at Jnana Deepa (JD) Pune. Besides being a lecturer, he was a Coordinator of Students’ Activities at JD.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit from the University of Calcutta and Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Pune. He is a graduate with a doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara
University, California. Confronting the death-dealing water crisis in India, Tete’s doctoral dissertation construes the earth’s waters as symbol of the life-giving Spirit. He is also a visiting faculty at the Morning Star College, Calcutta. He was in the organizing committee of two International Symposiums held at JD Pune in the recent past. Prior to his service for common works in JD, Pune, he worked as the director of the pre-novices for three years and coordinated vocation promotion in the province. He also taught at Bengal Regional Theology Centre, Bolpur and Morning Star College, Calcutta.
