Revisit-Renew-Reimagine: Adivasi Yuva Chetna Manch (AYCM) National Camp, Bhopal
Adivasi Yuva Chetna Manch (AYCM) National Camp was held on 16-18 September 2024 at AICUF Ashram, Campion School Campus, Bhopal. `Revisit-Renew-Reimagine AYCM towards hope filled future’ was the theme of the camp. AYCM-National Camp brought 230 dynamic youth from various states, including Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand (Dumka-Ranchi), Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The AYCM-National Camp aimed to empower young Adivasis to advocate for their rights and engage in movements that benefit their communities. Participants found the experience transformative, gaining valuable insights into their duties and rights. Many expressed that the camp was eye-opening, helping them to understand ongoing issues affecting Adivasi communities. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by the youth underscored their commitment to making a difference and standing up for justice.
Thanks to Fr. Ravindar Bara SJ, the director of AICUF Ashram, Bhopal, the person who was in charge of this successful event from beginning to end. He and his team, the Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh AICUF members, did a wonderful job of organizing this AYCM-National Camp. Big Thanks to the organizing team. Fr. Jesu Benjamine SJ, the AICUF National Advisor, was present throughout the camp, giving guidance and leading the youth in a more dynamic spirit.
